Job summary

Wessex Water Services, part of the YTL UK group, seeks an Electrical Technician to join our EM&I team covering Yeovil, Taunton and surrounding sites. You’ll perform planned and reactive maintenance and contribute to small installation work on water recycling centres.

Applicants should be time‑served with three‑phase and single‑phase power/control systems, hold City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent apprenticeship, and have good health and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical technician with three-phase and single-phase power/control knowledge.
• Hold City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or a time-served electrical apprenticeship.
• Formal mechanical training is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent health and safety awareness and IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-planned and reactive maintenance on EM&I sites.
• Maintain plant, machinery and equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Fault finding, diagnosis and resolution to minimize downtime.
• Contribute to continuous improvements across the area.
