Job summary

YTL UK is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our EM&I team covering Yeovil and Taunton sites. You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance, assist with small installations, and ensure reliable operation of plant and equipment.

You will diagnose faults, implement improvements, and work with minimal supervision, including standby on some evenings and weekends. A driving licence and formal electrical training are essential.

Qualifications

• Three-phase and single-phase power and control systems knowledge required.
• City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or a time-served Electrical Apprenticeship is essential.
• Formal mechanical training (dual-skilled) is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent health and safety awareness and IT literacy are required.
• Valid UK driving licence with ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-planned and reactive maintenance across sewage treatment sites.
• Perform small installation projects on water recycling centres.
• Ensure plant, machinery, and equipment operate effectively.
• Fault finding, fault diagnosis and fault resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvements across the Yeovil and Taunton area.
