Job summary

Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria is seeking an experienced Electrical day-based Technician to join a 24-person team. You will perform preventative maintenance on a highly automated PLC-controlled plant, support breakdowns, and contribute to safe, compliant operations.

Essential qualifications include 18th Edition, Compex, and Rockwell PLC knowledge; NVQ Electrical Level 3 with time-served apprenticeship is required. The role offers career development in a leading beverage manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• NVQ Electrical Level 3 with time-served apprenticeship.
• 18th Edition trained and Compex certified.
• Experience in food manufacturing environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-standards electrical preventative maintenance.
• Assist with new electrical installation works and remedial actions from audits.
• Support shift-based team during breakdowns to maximise production.
• Raise purchase orders and manage stock within budget.
• Maintain quality documentation and comply with safety standards.
• Contribute to site initiatives such as HACCP, ISO9002, CDM.
