Job summary

Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria is recruiting an experienced Electrical day-based Technician to join our maintenance team. This permanent role reports to the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager and sits within a 24-strong team across day and shift operations.

You will undertake preventative maintenance, support electrical installations, and assist with breakdowns to maximise production while upholding safety and quality standards, with required 18th Edition, Rockwell PLC and Compex knowledge.

Qualifications

• NVQ Electrical Level 3 with time served apprenticeship.
• 18th Edition trained with Rockwell PLC awareness and Compex.
• Able to communicate with stakeholders and act with urgency.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete critical electrical compliance preventative maintenance.
• Assist with new electrical installation and remedial works from audits.
• Support shift-based team during breakdowns to maximise output.
• Raise purchase orders and manage stock within budget.
• Maintain quality standards and relevant technical documentation.
• Contribute to site initiatives including HACCP/ISO9002/CDM.
• Engage with continuous improvement using LEAN/TPM.
