Job summary

Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria is seeking an experienced Electrical day-based Technician to join the Manufacturing team. You will be responsible for planned electrical maintenance, supporting breakdowns and collaborating with a 24-person team across manufacturing, filling, packing and industrial services.

The role requires 18th Edition, Minor Works and Compex knowledge, with NVQ Electrical Level 3 and an apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is highly recommended.
• 18th Edition trained and minor works awareness.
• PLC Rockwell and instrumentation knowledge (BEAMEX).
• Be able to work in confined spaces, at height, and ATEX/DSEAR environments beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform critical electrical maintenance and compliance activities.
• Assist with new electrical installation works and remedial audits.
• Support shift-based team during plant breakdowns to maximise production.
• Raise purchase orders and manage stock with maintenance co-ordinator.
• Maintain technical documentation and support site initiatives (HACCP, ISO9002, CDM).
