Job summary

Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria is seeking an Electrically biased Shift Technician to join the manufacturing maintenance team. This permanent role reports to the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager and supports a highly automated PLC‑controlled process plant.

You will be part of a 24‑strong shift team, with responsibilities across Manufacturing, Filling & Packing and Industrial Services, focusing on electrical maintenance within a FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Electrically biased technician with NVQ3 or time‑served apprenticeship.
• Experience with pneumatics, pumps, motors, and valve manifolds.
• Food manufacturing experience and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and maximise manufacturing output.
• Maintain equipment and document compliance with QA standards.
• Support TPM, Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
