A Electrical Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities and daily activities:
  • Maintain, modify, test, service, fault find and repair various electrical equipment mainly in support of site infrastructure services which would typically include:
  • Emergency Lighting
  • Control Panel maintenance.
  • Motors, pumps, inverters drives, conveyors
  • Work towards becoming APLV for site
  • Testing and Inspecting (PAT, RCD's & electrical installations)
  • LV systems
  • Carry out basic electrical installations as required
  • Internal and external lighting
  • HVAC basic fault finding/repair
  • Ensure all work requests are carried out as requested to maximise uptime
  • Log downtime and report on root cause
  • Work closely with manager, supervisor, peers, Mondelez managers and employees.
  • H&S across site, PTW issue and contractor control
  • Engage and complete all trainings requirements
  • Develop Continuous Improvement within the department.
  • Working a FTE, 5 day a week, scheduled weekends, shifts, plus on call Rota
  • Number of direct reports: 0
  • Liaise with the client as appropriate
  • Liaise with client shift managers and operational teams daily
  • Based at Mondelez Sheffield
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Multi skilled engineering background.
  • City and Guilds, BTec, ONC / HNC Level Qualification
  • 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
  • Knowledge of control systems, inverter drives, BMS and PLC's, desired but not essential
  • Excellent fault-finding skills
  • Electrical installation skills
  • Ability to read, understand and sketch technical drawings and literature to gather information to assist with maintenance and fault finding
  • Sound knowledge and experience of Environmental, Health & Safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrates organisational and planning skills
  • PC literate with basic IT skills
  • Can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work to own initiative and as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High customer focus
