Job summary

Equans is seeking a Technical Services Manager (Electrical) to lead hospital site maintenance in Wakefield on a permanent basis. This full-time role (37.5 hours) reports to the Engineering Manager and includes participation in a 24-hour on-call rota.

You will manage maintenance teams and subcontractors, coordinate on-site operations, and ensure SLAs are met while upholding safety standards and local procedures.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND level in engineering with proven managerial experience (3–5 years).
• Electrical bias with healthcare site exposure preferred.
• Willing to obtain or hold DBS clearance.
• Demonstrates technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site maintenance team and specialists to ensure safe, continuous operation.
• Oversee daily planned and reactive maintenance using Maximo CAFM.
• Coordinate site operations in line with SLAs and local procedures.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with statutory standards.
• Drive improvements and maintain strong stakeholder communications.
• Support on-call rota as part of escalation procedures.
