Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an Electrical Technical Principal to lead the electrical design for HV transmission infrastructure across the project lifecycle, from feasibility to construction. Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of electrical engineering substation principles for transmission and distribution infrastructure
• Experience delivering technical quality management with clear review/approval plans
• Desirable IOSH/NEBOSH certifications, National Grid CDAE/LCDAE and Design Assurance authorisations HV Plant

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for HV transmission projects across lifecycle stages
• Prepare/review clarifications to RFIs and deliverables; provide technical guidance to the team
• Deliver bid inputs including resourcing statements, delivery methodology, and programmes
• Collaborate with multiple discipline engineers and stakeholders to meet technical and commercial requirements
• Interface with client contacts; attend progress meetings and workshops
• Ensure electrical designs comply with standards and safety/environmental regulations
• Oversee multiple projects and site assessments during construction phase
• Stay updated with new technologies and integrate them into designs
