Zusammenfassung

Kier Group's Velindre Cancer Centre team in Wales is seeking a Team Leader Mechanical Technician to oversee the engineering shift, delivering safe, reliable operation of mechanical building services within a modern cancer care facility.

You will lead planned, reactive and emergency maintenance, coordinate priorities, supervise staff across days and nights on a 4 on/4 off pattern, and liaise with clinical teams to minimise disruption to patient care.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold a recognised mechanical qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance within a complex or regulated environment, including planned and reactive maintenance.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services systems including heating, ventilation, water systems and associated controls.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics, analyse faults and coordinate others during the shift.
• Willingness to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern including days and nights, with flexibility to operational demands.

Aufgaben

• Lead the engineering shift coordinating planned, reactive and emergency maintenance.
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on mechanical systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs following HTMs and statutory requirements.
• Maintain water systems compliance including temperature monitoring and Legionella control.
• Provide clear shift handovers and liaise with clinical teams and stakeholders.
