Job summary

Peel Ports Group is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead a multi-skilled maintenance team at the Port of Liverpool. You will oversee safe and efficient operation, maintenance, installation and commissioning of equipment, and manage contractors to ensure compliance with PUWER, PSSR, COSHH, LOLER and DSEAR.

You will work closely with engineering and operational teams, uphold safety standards, and drive continuous improvement while supporting the business in maintaining world-class port

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DSEAR, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH regulations and risk assessments.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis and documenting problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Strong problem solving and Continuous Improvement experience.
• HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Good understanding of Mechanical Engineering.
• Must hold a full valid driving licence; able to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a multi-skilled maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient operation of the business unit.
• Deliver maintenance, statutory compliance, installation and commissioning of new equipment; coordinate with contractors and suppliers.
• Work closely with other engineering and operational functions to ensure policy and statutory compliance (PUWER, PSSR, COSHH, LOLER, DSEAR).
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and drive continuous improvement across maintenance activities.
