Job summary

Peel Ports Group is seeking an Electrical Supervisor for the Port of Liverpool. You will oversee a multi-skilled maintenance team, ensuring safe operation, preventive and reactive maintenance, and compliance with PUWER, PSSR, COSHH, LOLER and DSEAR.

You will lead installation and commissioning of new equipment, manage contractors, and work closely with engineering and operations to sustain high performance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing multi-functional and multi-skilled teams of engineers in heavy industry or similar environments.
• Knowledge of DSEAR, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH regulations and risk assessments.
• Experience producing Root Cause Analysis and problem solving documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong Continuous Improvement mindset and track record of delivering improvements.
• Minimum of HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
• Good understanding of Mechanical Engineering.
• Full valid driving licence; occasional work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a multi-skilled maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient operation of the business unit.
• Maintain plant and equipment within Peel Ports Mersey operational areas with high standards of safety.
• Deliver maintenance, statutory compliance, installation and commissioning of new equipment; coordinate with contractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with other engineering and operational functions and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable legislation (PUWER, PSSR, COSHH, LOLER, DSEAR).
