Job summary

Mark May is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical teams on social housing contracts across Kent and Sussex. You will lead operatives, ensure compliance with IET Wiring Regulations, health and safety standards, and NICEIC requirements, and maintain high safety and quality across sites.

The role requires a strong NVQ3 electrical qualification, 18th Edition, and 2391, plus a full UK driving licence and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and related regulatory qualifications.
• Solid knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations and electrical testing standards.
• Experience as a Supervisor in electrical installations and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical works across social housing contracts in Kent and Sussex.
• Ensure compliance with IET Wiring Regulations, Health & Safety, and NICEIC requirements.
• Review test certificates, inspection reports, and remedial documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to electricians and apprentices.
• Deliver toolbox talks and manage RAMS and risk assessments.
• Liaise with clients, contract managers, and operations teams to resolve issues.

Electrical Supervisor - Social Housing

Location: Ashford, Kent

Salary: Up to £51,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Working Pattern: 4 days office based, 1 from home.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical teams across social housing contracts covering Kent and Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional to lead electrical operatives, maintain compliance standards, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical works, ensuring compliance with current IET Wiring Regulations, Health & Safety legislation and NICEIC requirements.
• Act as the NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor, reviewing, validating, and signing off electrical certificates.
• Maintain NICEIC registration and prepare for annual assessments.
• Conduct site audits, quality inspections, and compliance checks.
• Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and apprentices.
• Review test certificates, inspection reports, and remedial documentation.
• Support workforce planning, productivity, and first-time fix performance.
• Deliver toolbox talks and ensure compliance with RAMS and risk assessments.
• Liaise with clients, contract managers, and operational teams to resolve issues promptly.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Current 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
• 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Qualified Supervisor or Electrical Qualifying Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of NICEIC compliance and electrical certification.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety, RAMS, and risk assessments.
• Full UK driving licence.
