Skilled Careers is seeking an experienced Electrical Qualified Supervisor to join a leading housing association's in-house maintenance team in Slough / North West London area. You will oversee electrical compliance across planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring works meet BS 7671 standards and safety requirements.

You will lead electricians and supervisors, conduct site inspections, audits and certification processes, and drive continuous improvement in electrical compliance across the DLO.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation is essential.
• AM2 certification or equivalent is essential.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS 7671 are essential.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 Testing & Inspection qualifications are essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as NICEIC Qualified Supervisor ensuring electrical compliance across maintenance operations.
• Oversee electrical works across planned and reactive social housing maintenance contracts.
• Ensure compliance with 18th Edition BS 7671 and safety standards.
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits and quality checks.
• Oversee electrical inspection, testing and certification processes.
• Maintain accurate electrical compliance records and reports.
• Provide technical guidance to electricians and supervisors.
• Identify non-compliant works and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor electrical safety standards and drive improvements.
• Identify training needs and mentor operatives.
• Collaborate with maintenance and compliance teams to improve service delivery.

The Role

A leading housing association is looking for an experienced Electrical Qualified Supervisor to join its in-house maintenance team, overseeing electrical compliance across its Direct Labour Organisation (DLO).

You will be responsible for ensuring all electrical works meet the required technical, safety and regulatory standards, providing guidance to electricians and supervisors, and maintaining high standards of electrical compliance across planned and reactive maintenance activities.

The role requires someone with a strong technical electrical background, excellent knowledge of BS 7671 regulations, and proven experience in electrical supervision, NICEIC Qualified Supervisor responsibilities or electrical compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the organisation's NICEIC Qualified Supervisor (QS), ensuring electrical compliance across maintenance operations
• Oversee electrical works across planned and reactive social housing maintenance contracts
• Ensure compliance with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), statutory requirements and electrical safety standards
• Carry out regular site inspections, technical audits and quality assurance checks
• Oversee electrical inspection, testing and certification processes
• Maintain accurate electrical compliance records, inspection reports and certification
• Provide technical electrical advice and support to electricians, supervisors and operational teams
• Identify non‑compliant works and implement corrective actions
• Monitor electrical safety standards and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify training requirements and support operatives through coaching and mentoring
• Work closely with maintenance supervisors and compliance teams to improve service delivery
• Ensure electrical works are completed safely and to the required technical standards
• Support internal and external compliance audits
• Promote best practice across electrical maintenance operations

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Electrical Qualified Supervisor / NICEIC QS / Electrical Supervisor
• Strong technical background in electrical installation, inspection, testing and compliance
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation - essential
• AM2 certification or equivalent - essential
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) - essential
• City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395 Testing & Inspection qualification or equivalent - essential
• Experience overseeing electrical compliance and certification processes
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations and industry standards
• Experience providing technical guidance and support to electrical operatives
• Previous experience within social housing, property maintenance or a DLO environment - desirable
• Knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR) - desirable
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to identify and challenge non‑compliant electrical practices
• Full UK driving licence - essential

Package & Benefits

• £47,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
