Job summary

HEYSHAM PORT LTD is seeking an Electrical Shift Technician to join the Container division at the Port of Liverpool. The role involves reactive and preventative maintenance on cranes, CRMGs and straddle carriers across Terminals One and Two, with a 4 on 4 off days and nights rotation.

You will work with a team to ensure safe operation, diagnose faults, and liaise with the Engineering Shift Manager for parts and materials.

Qualifications

• ONC or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Understanding of Electrical Circuit diagrams.
• Experience with Motors and Variable Speed Controllers.
• Experience with Container Handling equipment is advantageous.
• Full valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment across Terminals One and Two.
• Attend and fix machine breakdowns during operations in a safe and efficient manner.
• Report parts and materials needs to Engineering Shift Manager promptly.
• Deliver the Preventative Maintenance Plan to ensure reliability and availability.
