Job summary

Jobsworth Recruitment Solutions - Southern Perms is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Technician for a Seaham manufacturing site. You will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance, diagnose faults on motors, drives and control systems, and support plant reliability and safety.

This role reports to the engineering team and operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (two 12-hour day shifts followed by two 12-hour night shifts).

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training.
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 in electrical engineering or installation.
• Experience in electrical maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, machinery and control systems.
• Respond promptly to plant breakdowns and diagnose electrical and control faults.
• Repair, replace and test electrical components including motors and drives.
• Fault-find on PLC-controlled machinery and automated production systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support continuous improvement.
