Wolviston Management Services are recruiting an Electrical Shift Engineer for a leading steel manufacturer in Middlesbrough. The role covers proactive and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems within a highly automated facility.

You will work 4 on / 4 off (12-hour shifts) with day and night rotations and collaborate closely with other engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have an electrical apprenticeship with an HNC or equivalent, strong fault-finding skills, and a

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• HNC qualified or higher required.
• Experience fault finding and breakdown recovery in heavy industry.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work 4 on / 4 off shift pattern.

Responsabilités

• Deliver proactive and reactive maintenance across electrical systems.
• Support production with timely fault response.
• Contribute to inspection, testing, and PM strategies.
• Operate in line with site safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with Day Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
• Maintain records using CMMS (e.g. SAP).
• Lead a team of 6 technicians.
