Job summary

Jobsworth Recruitment Solutions Ltd is helping a leading UK manufacturer recruit a Maintenance Electrical Technician for their Seaham site. This permanent role covers planned and reactive electrical maintenance in a fast-paced facility, with a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern of two 12-hour days and two 12-hour nights.

The successful candidate will fault-find, inspect and repair electrical equipment, implement improvements and work with contractors to minimise downtime while upholding safety and

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training.
• NVQ 3 / City & Guilds 3 / BTEC in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in electrical maintenance within manufacturing or industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and control systems.
• Respond to plant breakdowns, diagnose faults and implement fixes.
• Repair and test motors, drives, sensors and control equipment.
• Fault-find on PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems.
• Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement projects.
