Job summary

Wolviston Management Services Limited is seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer to join a leading steel manufacturing site in Middlesbrough. You will deliver both proactive and reactive maintenance across a broad range of electrical systems, supporting production during faults and breakdowns while maintaining safety and compliance across a highly automated facility.

You will lead a team of 6 technicians, work a 4 on/4 off 12-hour shift pattern (days and nights), and use SAP CMMS to keep detailed

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship and electrical engineering qualifications.
• Minimum HNC qualification.
• Experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong fault finding, breakdown recovery and preventative maintenance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Flexibility to work shifts and 4 on/4 off pattern.

Responsibilities

• Deliver proactive and reactive maintenance across electrical systems.
• Support production through timely response to equipment faults and breakdowns.
• Contribute to inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Operate in line with site safety and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with Day Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure maintenance excellence.
• Maintain accurate records using CMMS (e.g. SAP).
• Lead a team of 6 technicians.
