Job summary

Remark Group in Peterborough is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial electrical projects from client engagement through handover. You will manage technical, commercial and delivery aspects while coordinating engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain safety, quality and compliance.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to risk and change, with a clear focus on delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Relevant electrical qualifications, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing electrical projects within commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of NICEIC requirements and relevant electrical regulations.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience producing project plans, quotations, costings and technical documentation.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage project budgets and client requirements.
• Confident communicator, able to work effectively with clients, engineers, contractors, suppliers and colleagues across the business.
• Solutions-focused approach with strong technical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing the full lifecycle of electrical projects, including planning, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover.
• Delivering multiple projects concurrently, ensuring agreed timescales, budgets and technical specifications are achieved.
• Working closely with engineers, contractors and clients to develop practical, tailored project solutions.
• Producing and maintaining project documentation, including quotations, costings, programmes, risk assessments and technical records.
• Ensuring works comply with current legislation, NICEIC requirements, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and company safety procedures.
• Carrying out site surveys and visits to oversee project delivery, monitor progress and resolve technical issues.
• Managing project resources and coordinating engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and other third parties.
• Supporting the development of junior engineers and maintaining consistently high standards of installation and workmanship.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and contractors.
• Contributing to project planning and resource allocation to support wider operational requirements.
• Identifying project risks at an early stage and implementing appropriate measures to manage them effectively.

Role Description

The Electrical Project Manager plays a key role in delivering commercial and industrial electrical projects from initial client engagement through to final handover.
