Qualifications

  • Electrical academic qualifications as listed (City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC/HND).
  • Proven experience managing electrical projects.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise and manage deadlines.
  • Confident in producing project plans, costings and technical docs.
  • Effective communicator with clients, contractors and colleagues.
  • Strong understanding of NICEIC regulations.
  • Commercially aware with a solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of electrical projects: planning, design, procurement, installation, commissioning.
  • Deliver multiple projects concurrently within timeframes, budgets and specs.
  • Liaise with engineers, contractors and clients for tailored solutions.
  • Produce and maintain quotations, schedules, risk assessments and technical records.
  • Ensure all works comply with legislation, ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and safety procedures.
  • Visit project sites to carry out surveys, manage delivery and resolve issues.
  • Support development of junior engineers and ensure quality of installation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and third-party contractors.
  • Contribute to planning and resource allocation meetings to support operations.
  • Identify project risks early and manage them effectively.

Job description

This is a key role in delivering commercial and industrial projects from initial client engagement through to final handover. Fantastic opportunity to be part of an established team and really make an impact in your role!

You will manage the technical, commercial, and delivery aspects of electrical based projects. The role requires hands-on project leadership and the ability to manage teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and compliance throughout the lifecycle of each project.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of electrical projects, including planning, design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Deliver multiple projects concurrently, ensuring they meet agreed timeframes, budgets, and technical specifications.
  • Liaise with engineers, contractors, and clients to develop tailored project solutions.
  • Produce and maintain project documentation, including quotations, schedules, risk assessments, and technical records.
  • Ensure all works comply with current legislation, ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), and company safety procedures.
