Job summary

Six Ventures Ltd is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to take ownership of projects from enquiry through to completion, coordinating with clients, in-house design teams, site teams and subcontractors.

You’ll manage project delivery, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and conformance to specifications and quality standards, while supporting systems development in line with project requirements. A degree in Electrical Engineering and strong project-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading projects from enquiry to delivery and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills to manage several priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, design teams and site personnel.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initial enquiry to final handover and documentation.
• Liaise with clients to capture requirements and attend site surveys as needed.
• Coordinate trade operatives and apprentices, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Work with the design team to ensure technical information is available when required.
• Review drawings, specs and schedules and direct works accordingly.
• Prepare project and handover docs, including as-built drawings.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and non-conformances across design and construction.

Electrical Project Engineer

We're working with an established engineering business that is experiencing continued growth and is looking to appoint an Electrical Project Engineer to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to take ownership of projects from enquiry through to completion, working closely with clients, internal design teams, site teams and subcontractors.

You’ll be joining an experienced engineering environment where you’ll have access to an in-house design team, providing technical support and solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role

As Electrical Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, to specification and to the required quality standards.

• Managing projects from initial enquiry through to final acceptance and documentation.
• Liaising with clients to understand requirements and attending site surveys where required.
• Coordinating and directing trade operatives and apprentices, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Working closely with the design team to ensure technical information is available when required.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project schedules and directing works accordingly.
• Preparing project and handover documentation, including as-built drawings.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues and non-conformances throughout the design and construction phases.
• Supporting the design and development of systems and products in line with project specifications.
• Managing project quality deliverables and ensuring compliance with client and internal quality systems.
• Contributing to tender, design and construction programmes, including progress reporting.
• Liaising with subcontractors, including reviewing quotations, specifications and health & safety documentation.
• Supporting the preparation of Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans where required.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects and can confidently coordinate multiple stakeholders in a busy engineering environment.

You’ll ideally have:

• A Degree, HNC, HND or NVQ qualification in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in a Project Engineering / Project Management environment.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to understand, interpret and communicate technical information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The confidence to coordinate, lead and motivate others.
• A full UK driving licence.
