Job summary

CDM Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical projects from mobilisation through to completion in the North East. The role requires delivering on time, safely and within budget while coordinating clients, main contractors, subcontractors and internal teams.

You will oversee programmes, budgets and procurement, review drawings and project documentation, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards across diverse sectors.

Electrical Project Manager

Location: North East

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

Job Type: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Project Manager to join an established and growing electrical contractor based in the North East.

The company delivers a wide range of electrical projects across the commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, education and residential sectors, working with main contractors, developers and end clients.

The Role

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing electrical projects from initial mobilisation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.

You will work closely with clients, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of your projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing electrical projects from start to completion
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Managing project programmes, budgets and resources
• Liaising with clients and main contractors
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Managing procurement and material requirements
• Monitoring progress and ensuring projects remain on programme
• Supporting commercial management, variations and valuations
• Ensuring projects meet health & safety and quality requirements
• Attending site and project meetings
• Managing project documentation, RAMS and associated paperwork
• Providing regular updates to senior management and clients

About You

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager with a strong background in electrical contracting or building services.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience managing electrical projects
• A background within an electrical contractor, M&E contractor or building services environment
• Strong understanding of electrical installation and project delivery
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of project costs
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
• Relevant electrical qualifications or a technical background would be advantageous
