Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join the United Utilities AMP8 Framework team in the North West of England, with Blackburn as the location.

You will deliver electrical, instrumentation, control and automation works across water assets including design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover. Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as Electrical Project Manager, EICA Project Manager or similar role delivering electrical works on capital projects.
• Experience delivering capital projects in UK water sector within an AMP framework or regulated utility environment.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical and EICA systems (LV distribution, MCCs, switchgear, transformers, generators, drives, cabling, instrumentation and control interfaces).
• HNC/HND or degree/apprenticeship in electrical engineering or related discipline; good CDM Regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and EICA work packages across LV distribution, MCCs, switchgear, transformers, standby generation, UPS, drives, cabling, instrumentation and PLC/SCADA interfaces.
• Review electrical design information, drawings and technical submissions for safety, buildability and compliance with UU requirements.
• Manage procurement and subcontract packages, including scope development, tender evaluation and delivery assurance.
• Lead electrical shutdowns, isolation, temporary supply, energisation and cut-over planning for live water assets; ensure operational continuity.
• Coordinate with commissioning teams to plan inspection, pre-commissioning, testing and performance demonstration activities.
