Job summary

Kier is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join the United Utilities AMP8 Framework team in the North West of England. You will lead EICA electrical delivery across water and wastewater assets, coordinating design reviews, procurement and commissioning to ensure safe, on‑time handover.

Ideal candidates have proven UK water sector experience, strong LV distribution knowledge and a solid engineering background. The role offers a site‑based position in Blackburn with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Project Manager or EICA Project Manager delivering capital works
• Experience delivering in UK water sector within AMP frameworks or similarly regulated environments
• Strong technical understanding of LV distribution, MCCs, switchgear, transformers and control systems
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and health and safety requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and EICA work packages across infrastructure projects
• Review design information, specifications and calculations for safety and buildability
• Manage procurement, tenders and subcontract packages
• Plan electrical shutdowns, energisation and handover activities
• Coordinate commissioning and pre‑commissioning with test and performance demonstration
