Job summary

Involve Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a leading Tier One Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Contractor delivering high value electrical building services across construction projects in Manchester.

You will manage and coordinate electrical installation activities on high end residential and industrial new builds, from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring quality, safety and programme requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in New Build Building Services.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical building services.
• Experience in installation, coordination and project engineering of electrical systems.
• Experience with reviewing designs and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Electrical installation activities across new build projects.
• Review mechanical designs, drawings, specifications and docs.
• Ensure installations meet approved designs, specs and programme.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural and other services.
• Work with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to enable delivery.
• Assist with planning, procurement, programming and coordination.
• Monitor progress, quality and installation standards.
• Attend design and coordination meetings and provide input.
• Review submittals, drawings, RFIs and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and safety procedures.
• Support Project Manager with commercial and contractual aspects.

Currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a leading Tier One Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Contractor, delivering high value Electrical building services across various construction projects.

The successful candidate will work on a portfolio of High End Residential and Industrial new build projects, taking responsibility for the process, delivery, coordination and engineering of Electrical installations from pre-construction through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer looking to join a well established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high value building services projects

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating Electrical installation activities across new build projects
• Reviewing mechanical designs, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Ensuring Electrical installations are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications and programme requirements.
• Coordinating Electrical services with, architectural, structural and other building services disciplines.
• Working closely with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Assisting with project planning, procurement, programming and technical coordination
• Monitoring progress, quality and installation standards throughout the project lifecycle
• Attending design and coordination meetings and providing technical input
• Reviewing technical submittals, drawings, RFIs and method statements
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, health & safety requirements and company procedures.
• Supporting the Project Manager with commercial and contractual aspects of the electrical package where required.

About You

The ideal individual will be an experienced Electrical Project Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience working within the New Build Building Services sector

You will have a strong technical understanding of electrical building services and proven experience in the installation, coordination and project engineering of electrical systems
