Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an electrically qualified technician for a flexible on-site maintenance role. You will handle mechanical maintenance, breakdowns, and minor installations while mentoring a junior apprentice. The job emphasises safety, reliability, and responsive service to the client.

You will be involved in condition monitoring, inspections, and reporting, with duties covering testing, feedback, and collaboration with the engineering team to keep plant running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in building services or facilities management is preferred.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements on site.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and fault-find effectively.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance and corrective works on site.
• Perform minor installations, fault finding, testing and inspection.
• Coaching / mentoring of a junior Apprentice in the team.
• Provide accurate feedback including test sheets and work dockets.
• Ensure plant and systems are maintained for maximum reliability.
• Respond to reactive maintenance and provide remedial work as needed.
