Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a capable maintenance professional to cover electrical and mechanical tasks on site. The role requires an electrical qualification due to on-site requirements and involves maintenance, fault finding, and minor installations within a facilities management environment.

You will also coach an Apprentice, perform tests, and ensure systems run reliably. On-site presence and adherence to health and safety standards are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification at least Level 3 (C&G/BTEC/ONC/OND/NVQ)
• 18th Edition BS7671:2018
• Experience in building service environment
• Knowledge of health & safety requirements

Responsibilities

• Implement all mechanical maintenance and corrective works on the site in accordance with Maintenance Instructions and site-specific procedures.
• Carry out minor install work, fault finding, test and inspect
• Coaching / mentoring of a junior Apprentice in the team
• Perform testing and inspecting of mechanical systems in accordance with industry standards.
• Provide accurate feedback and information including completed test sheets and work dockets
• Ensure plant and systems are maintained for efficiency, availability and reliability
• Carry out remedial/refurbishment works from breakdown or maintenance inspections
• Respond to reactive maintenance/breakdown calls for remedial work
• Develop knowledge of site system failures and effects
• Carry out condition-based monitoring surveys
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of plant and adjacent areas
• Undertake defect surveys on electrical plant and provide reports
• Develop knowledge of operating characteristics of site generation plant for emergency or test purposes
• Provide holiday and sickness cover for shift colleagues
• Perform other reasonable duties as agreed with OCS management
