Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support mechanical and electrical teams across multiple sites. You will help with planned preventative and reactive maintenance, inspections and minor works while promoting safety and high housekeeping standards.

The role supports engineers, maintains building services, and contributes to efficient operations within a large facilities management contract. A collaborative, safety‑driven mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Assist with planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
• Support mechanical and electrical systems including pumps, motors, valves, pipework, HVAC, lighting, and power distribution.

Responsibilities

• Assist Mechanical Fitters, Electricians, Technicians and Supervisors with maintenance activities.
• Prepare work areas and site safety arrangements.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping in plant rooms, workshops and service areas.
• Support inspections and surveys by identifying defects and unsafe conditions.
• Assist with Permit to Work, lock-off procedures and isolation activities.
