Job summary

Proman UK in Wigan (Standish or Pemberton Site) seeks a Lead Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the Maintenance Manager. You will supervise technicians and drive projects from concept to delivery, ensuring production runs smoothly.

This role requires strong fault-finding, experience in a manufacturing, regulated environment, and commitment to health and safety. You will develop the team, manage overhauls, and use data to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Completed an Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technical fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working within highly regulated environments.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and maintaining the highest standards of work.
• Desirable: BEng (Hons) Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Promote and utilise the CMMS with detailed inputs by all team members.
• Deputise for the Maintenance Manager as required.
• Monitor equipment condition, reporting abnormalities and risks.
• Set clear priorities and ensure the function is well organised for preventive maintenance.
• Identify replacement parts and order via approved channels.
• Manage change requests for replacements not like-for-like.
• Ensure tasks are completed safely while driving continuous improvement.
• Diagnose issues across a range of equipment with cross-functional teams.
• Communicate timelines for equipment overhauls and return to service clearly.
• Use data to drive decision making.
• Develop and action training and development needs for the team.
