Job summary

Aspion Search is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a manufacturing business, supporting reliability and performance of production machinery, plant and site services.

This hands-on role covers electrical maintenance, fault finding, installations and equipment improvements. You’ll report to the Engineering Team Leader and provide on-call support as part of a rota to minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship-based electrical training and hands-on maintenance skills.
• ONC qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong fault-dinding and diagnostic abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment across production areas.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to restore equipment safely and efficiently.
• Identify root causes of recurring failures and implement improvements.
• Undertake development work to improve performance and lifespan of plant equipment.
• Participate in on-call rota to respond to faults and breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in line with procedures.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements and keep work area tidy.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support operations.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer - On-Call

Location: Knottingley

Salary: £42,537.46 per annum + overtime and on-call allowance

Working hours: Daytime rota with flexibility required plus on-call cover one week in every four

Contract: Permanent

The opportunity

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment across production machinery, plant, buildings and site services.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs to restore equipment safely and efficiently.
• Identify the causes of recurring failures and implement improvements to prevent further breakdowns.
• Undertake development work to improve the performance and useful life of plant and equipment.
• Participate in the on-call rota, responding to equipment faults and breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in line with company procedures.
• Follow health and safety requirements and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• Work closely with colleagues across departments to support production and operational requirements.
