Job summary

AMA Admin is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Knottingley site on a full-time, permanent basis. This hands-on role covers electrical maintenance, fault finding, installations and improvements to equipment and plant, with on-call duties to minimise downtime.

You will report to the Engineering Team Leader and work with colleagues across departments to support production while following health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship-trained electrical engineer with solid maintenance experience.
• ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Strong fault-finding and practical electrical maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment across production machinery, plant, buildings and site services.
• Diagnose electrical faults and repairs to restore equipment safely and efficiently.
• Identify causes of recurring failures and implement improvements to prevent breakdowns.
• Undertake development work to improve performance and useful life of plant and equipment.
• Participate in on-call rota to respond to faults and downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to company procedures.
• Follow health and safety requirements and keep good housekeeping.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer - On-Call

Location: Knottingley

Salary: £42,537.46 per annum + overtime and on-call allowance

Working hours: Daytime rota with flexibility required plus on-call cover one week in every four

Contract: Full time, permanent

This is a hands-on role combining electrical maintenance, fault finding, installations and equipment improvements. You'll report to the Engineering Team Leader and provide on-call support as part of an agreed rota to minimise downtime.
