Aspion Search is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a days-based role on a manufacturing site in the Wirral area. You will maintain production machinery, carry out planned maintenance and assist with improvements, PLC/HMI fault finding and installation work.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will ensure safe, reliable operation of plant and site services and work closely with production teams. This is a days-based position with an early finish on Fridays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification.
• Minimum five years’ experience in electrical engineering within manufacturing.
• Able to read electrical schematics and work independently.

Responsabilités

Salary: £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 08:00-17:00 | Friday, 08:00-12:30

Aspion Search is recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an established manufacturing business.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will support the safe and reliable operation of production machinery and site services. Your role will cover planned maintenance, breakdowns, electrical installations and improvement projects, alongside mechanical maintenance within your skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs across production machinery, site services and building installations.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and follow up on identified defects.
• Diagnose and repair faults on machinery and industrial control systems.
• Work with PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, variable-speed drives, motors, sensors and safety circuits.
• Support equipment installations, control modifications and machinery improvement projects.
• Read electrical drawings, update documentation and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Undertake mechanical fault finding and repairs within your competence.
• Identify recurring faults and implement improvements to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
• Follow safe isolation, lockout and site permit procedures.
• Work closely with production teams, contractors and other engineers.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation or a relevant electrical discipline.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification.
• A recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent practical training.
• At least five years' relevant electrical engineering experience within manufacturing.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills across production machinery and industrial control systems.
• Experience carrying out planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and electrical installations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and work independently.
• Practical mechanical maintenance skills.
• A thorough understanding of safe isolation and electrical working practices.
