Job summary

Aspion Search is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) to join a leading UK manufacturer in Stockport. You will work Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm, 40 hours per week, performing planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site services.

The role involves fault finding from electrical schematics, assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained or equivalent with an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance or related multi-skilled discipline
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification
• At least 2 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Good electrical fault finding and repair skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
• Mechanical maintenance knowledge and experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to resolving problems

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults using schematic drawings to support fault finding.
• Support mechanical maintenance and repairs where required.
• Complete electrical installations, including cabling, lighting and power supplies.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Monitor equipment condition, identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maintain efficient operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all work complies with relevant legislation and safety standards

Day shifts: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm
40 hours per week, with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break

Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
