Aspion is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role in Knottingley. You will support production machinery, plant and site services with hands-on electrical maintenance, fault finding and improvements. The role requires participation in an on-call rota and daytime rota with occasional on-call cover.

You will report to the Engineering Team Leader, ensuring safety, reliability and uptime through accurate records and proactive maintenance across the site.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship-trained electrical engineer with ONC in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical electrical maintenance skills.
• Flexible for on-call rota and shifts.
• Attention to safety and detail in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment across production machinery, plant, buildings and site services.
• Diagnose electrical faults and repairs to restore equipment safely and efficiently.
• Identify causes of recurring failures and implement improvements.
• Undertake development work to improve the performance and useful life of plant and equipment.
• Participate in the on‑call rota and respond to faults.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in line with company procedures.
• Follow health and safety requirements and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support production.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer On-Call

Location: Knottingley
Salary: £42,537.46 per annum + overtime and on-call allowance
Working hours: Daytime rota with flexibility required plus on-call cover one week in every four
Contract: Permanent

The opportunity

Aspion Search is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an established manufacturing business, supporting the reliability and performance of production machinery, plant and site services.

This is a hands‑on role combining electrical maintenance, fault finding, installations and equipment improvements. You ll report to the Engineering Team Leader and provide on-call support as part of an agreed rota to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment across production machinery, plant, buildings and site services.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs to restore equipment safely and efficiently.
• Identify the causes of recurring failures and implement improvements to prevent further breakdowns.
• Undertake development work to improve the performance and useful life of plant and equipment.
• Participate in the on‑call rota, responding to equipment faults and breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in line with company procedures.
• Follow health and safety requirements and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• Work closely with colleagues across departments to support production and operational requirements.
