Job summary

Aspion Search is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our established manufacturing client in Knottingley, providing electrical maintenance, fault finding and improvements for production machinery and site services. The role is on-call with a daytime rota and one in four weeks on-call duty, reporting to the Engineering Team Leader.

You should be apprenticeship-trained with an ONC in Electrical Engineering, strong fault finding skills and a methodical approach.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment across production machinery, plant, buildings and site services.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs to restore equipment safely and efficiently.
• Identify causes of recurring failures and implement improvements to prevent breakdowns.
• Undertake development work to improve performance and useful life of plant and equipment.
• Participate in the on-call rota, responding to faults and breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in line with procedures.
• Follow health and safety requirements and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support production needs.

Location: Knottingley
Salary: £42,537.46 per annum + overtime and on-call allowance
Working hours: Daytime rota with flexibility required plus on-call cover one week in every four
Contract: Permanent

The opportunity

Aspion Search is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an established manufacturing business, supporting the reliability and performance of production machinery, plant and site services.

This is a hands-on role combining electrical maintenance, fault finding, installations and equipment improvements. You'll report to the Engineering Team Leader and provide on-call support as part of an agreed rota to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment across production machinery, plant, buildings and site services.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs to restore equipment safely and efficiently.
• Identify the causes of recurring failures and implement improvements to prevent further breakdowns.
• Undertake development work to improve the performance and useful life of plant and equipment.
• Participate in the on-call rota, responding to equipment faults and breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in line with company procedures.
• Follow health and safety requirements and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• Work closely with colleagues across departments to support production and operational requirements.
