Job summary

TechNichols Resourcing Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a global heavy plant manufacturer. On a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days/nights), you will perform reactive repairs, preventative maintenance, and projects including installations and improvements on heavy equipment.

You will work with PLC fault finding, Siemens PLCs, VSD drives, motors and pneumatics, with a focus on safety and teamwork. The role offers opportunities for career development and training.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or Level 3+ electrical qualifications.
• Experience in reactive and PPM electrical maintenance in industrial/heavy manufacturing environment.
• PLC fault finding with PLC programming skills; experience with VSD drives beneficial.
• Siemens PLC experience highly desirable.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical motors and pneumatics.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills, share knowledge with the team.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Supporting a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery including conveyors, mixing and robotics machinery.
• Working through a planned preventative maintenance program as well as project and continuous improvement work.
• Providing reactive maintenance, attending to and resolving breakdowns swiftly to get production back up and running.
• Dealing with VSD Drives and PLCs.
