Job summary
Adept Resourcing is seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing team in the UK. You will fault-find on production machinery, maintain electrical equipment including motors, drives and control panels, and support planned maintenance initiatives.
Rotational shifts 4 on 4 off (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) with training and progression opportunities. Strong fault-finding skills and NVQ 3 electrical qualification are required, with experience in PLC-controlled systems
Qualifications
- Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical Installation, Electrical Maintenance, Engineering Maintenance, or a related engineering discipline
- Electrical qualification to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Strong practical electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and circuit drawings
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems and industrial automation - desirable
- Experience with motors, drives, sensors and control systems- could be an advantage
Responsibilities
- Electrical fault finding on production machinery and control systems
- Maintenance of electrical equipment including motors, drives, sensors and control panels
- Supporting planned preventative maintenance activities
- Diagnosing breakdowns and restoring equipment safely and efficiently
- Working with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems
- Supporting electrical upgrades and improvement projects
- Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Liaising with specialist contractors and suppliers when required
