Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FM service provider at a prestigious commercial estate in Belgravia, London.

The role covers planned preventative and reactive maintenance across electrical systems, with a Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm schedule, 25 days annual leave (rising to 28 with service), a 1 in 4 call-out rota with £100 standby payment, and a strong pension/training roadmap.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 18th Edition qualification is required.
• Experience in commercial estate/FM environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across building services.
• Fault finding and repairs on electrical systems, lighting and emergency lighting.
• Maintenance of distribution boards, power supplies and electrical plant.
• Testing and inspection of electrical equipment.
• Basic BMS monitoring and operation.
• Escorting and supervising subcontractors and maintaining accurate records.

The Role

Working across a prestigious commercial estate, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a wide range of electrical building services, ensuring the estate is maintained to the highest possible standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance
• Fault finding and repairs across electrical systems
• Maintenance of lighting and emergency lighting systems
• Testing and inspection of electrical equipment
• Maintenance of distribution boards, power supplies and electrical plant
• Basic BMS monitoring and operation
• Responding to electrical breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests
• Carrying out basic mechanical and building fabric duties where required
• Escorting and supervising specialist subcontractors
• Completing accurate maintenance records and job sheets
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with relevant regulations

About You

• City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 18th Edition qualification
• Previous experience within commercial building maintenance or facilities management
• Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience
• Basic mechanical knowledge and a multi-skilled approach
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• The ability to provide copies of relevant trade qualifications
