Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications required: Level 2/3 NVQ or City & Guilds equivalent.
• 18th Edition qualification is required.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Client-facing and presentable.

Responsibilities

• Lighting maintenance and fault-finding across the site.
• Emergency lighting testing and fire alarm checks.
• Air conditioning maintenance for AHUs and FCUs.
• BMS monitoring and basic controls checks.
• Water treatment and temperature monitoring.
• Landlord services maintenance and front-/back-of-house upkeep.
• Planned and reactive maintenance and coordinating sub-contractors.
• Maintain reports and site paperwork; liaise with management and occupiers.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Watford, Hertfordshire – up to £45,000

Are you an established Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge?

Would you like to join a well-run site team on a high-profile site?

An opportunity has arisen with an established FM service provider based in Watford.

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer for a large commercial property and public space in Watford town centre. You will join a team of six engineers carrying out all aspects of multi-skilled maintenance across the site, with a focus on electrical work. You will have a strong understanding of facilities maintenance and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. The role suits an engineer in a similar position who wants a stable, well-supported site with room to progress. In return, the company is offering a salary of £44,000 to £45,000 per annum.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Lighting (small installations, fault-finding, lamping)
• Emergency lighting and fire alarm testing
• Air conditioning: AHUs and FCUs (filter changes, cleaning)
• BMS monitoring
• Water treatment and tap temperatures
• Landlord services maintenance
• Planned and reactive maintenance across front-of-house and back-of-house areas
• Arranging and supervising specialist sub-contractors
• Keeping reports, site logbooks and paperwork up to date and audit-ready
• Liaising with site management and occupiers when required

Hours of work

• 40-hour week on a rotating shift pattern: 06:00–15:00 and 09:00–18:00
• On-call 1 week in 6
• One weekend in 6, which falls in your on-call week, with 2 days off in lieu
