Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an established FM service provider on a static commercial site in Farringdon. You will be the sole engineer responsible for maintaining 10 floors and ensuring building services operate reliably.

The role is Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00 with overtime opportunities, ongoing training and development, and clear long-term career prospects.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3 Electrical or equivalent is required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge is essential.
• Experience maintaining commercial building services.
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across all 10 floors.
• Electrical fault-finding, lighting, power distribution and control panels.
• Emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
• BMS monitoring and plant checks.
• Maintenance of AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated plant.
• Minor plumbing and general fabric maintenance.
• Complete maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve faults across building services.
• Coordinate and escort specialist contractors when required.
• Maintain excellent health and safety standards.
• Liaise professionally with the client and site management.
• Take ownership of the building's day-to-day maintenance requirements.

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an established FM service provider on a static commercial site in Farringdon, working as the sole engineer responsible for a 10-floor building.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated engineer who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of a site, and delivering high standards of maintenance across a multi-storey commercial building.

You'll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of all building services across 10 floors, ensuring the building operates efficiently while maintaining a professional, client-facing service.

THE ROLE

• Monday - Friday
• 08:00 - 17:00
• Static commercial site in Farringdon
• Responsible for maintenance across 10 floors
• Up to £45,000 per annum
• PPM and reactive maintenance
• Electrical and general building services maintenance
• Client-facing role with responsibility for the day-to-day running of site maintenance

• Strong electrical fault-finding skills
• Good understanding of mechanical and general building services
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Reliable, proactive and capable of taking ownership of a site
• Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
