CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a healthcare campus in Surrey on a day shift. You will maintain hospital electrical systems, ensuring reliability of power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.

Join a small team of three engineers and benefit from training, progression, and a stable Monday-to-Friday schedule (8–5). The role is based in Guildford, Surrey, with on-site parking and no call-outs.

Qualifications

• Maintain hospital electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels, switchgear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and national electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hospital electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels, switchgear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Report issues to line manager and escort sub-contractors around the site.
• Maintain and test emergency power systems, including generators, UPS, and ATS.
• Respond promptly to electrical faults impacting critical areas (operating rooms, ICU, labs).
• Keep accurate records of maintenance, inspections, outages, and repairs.
• Ensure all installations comply with hospital policies and national electrical codes.

You will be part of a small, skilled team of 3 engineers who know the site inside out and will help you get up to speed quickly. The campus supports a large workforce and offers excellent amenities including multiple food outlets and break areas, ensuring you have everything you need during your working day.

Key duties & responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hospital electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels,switch gear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• reporting to your line manager with any issues.
• escorting sub-contractors around the site
• Maintain and test emergency power systems, including generators, UPS units, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
• Respond promptly to electrical faults that impact critical areas such as operating rooms,ICU, and labs.
• Reactive works on air handling units, fan coil units.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, outages, and repairs.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with hospital policies, national electrical codes, andhealth carefacility regulations.

Requirements:

• City and Guilds 18th Edition
• Level 3 electrical installations
• Previous experience in a hospital, medical facility, or critical-care environment preferred.
• HV or LV knowledge (not essential)
• General Knowledge of electrical systems.
