Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a leading healthcare campus in Surrey. Join a small team, work on complex electrical systems, and gain exposure to high‑tech facilities in a modern campus environment.

The role includes servicing hospital power distribution, lighting, emergency power and control systems. The site operates Monday to Friday, 8–5, with on-site parking and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance and fault-finding in hospital environments.
• Routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels and switchgear.
• Ability to liaise with line manager and sub-contractors.
• Knowledge of emergency power systems and ATS.
• Experience in high-tech facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital electrical systems including power distribution and lighting.
• Perform inspections on panels, switchgear, transformers and breakers.
• Report issues to line manager in a timely manner.
• Escort sub-contractors around site and ensure safety.
• Maintain and test emergency power systems (generators, UPS, ATS).
• Respond promptly to faults in critical areas: OR, ICU, labs.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Healthcare - No Call Out – Surrey – up to £42,000

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting anElectrical Maintenance Engineerto join a leading healthcare campus in Surrey. This site is a modern, state-of-the-art facility with multiple specialist areas and cutting-edge equipment.

You will be part of a small, skilled team of 3 engineers who know the site inside out and will help you get up to speed quickly. The campus supports a large workforce and offers excellent amenities including multiple food outlets and break areas, ensuring you have everything you need during your working day.

Key duties & responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hospital electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels,switch gear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• reporting to your line manager with any issues.
• escorting sub-contractors around the site
• Maintain and test emergency power systems, including generators, UPS units, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
• Respond promptly to electrical faults that impact critical areas such as operating rooms,ICU, and labs.
• Reactive works on air handling units, fan coil units.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, outages, and repairs.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with hospital policies, national electrical codes, andhealth carefacility regulations.

Requirements:

• City and Guilds 18th Edition
• Level 3 electrical installations
• Previous experience in a hospital, medical facility, or critical-care environment preferred.
• HV or LV knowledge (not essential)
• General Knowledge of electrical systems.
