Job summary

ReeVR Talent seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to take a lead role in a defence and advanced engineering environment. You will provide technical leadership across a team while remaining hands-on in electrical design and product development.

You’ll drive technical direction, mentor staff, collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver on time and to quality standards. A proactive, adaptable engineer with strong problem-solving skills is ideal.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ engineering experience.
• Strong electrical engineering and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience mentoring, coaching or technically guiding other engineers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with customers and suppliers.
• Strong 3D modelling and simulation capabilities.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering standards and processes.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
• A flexible, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and adopt new engineering techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, guidance and direction to engineers and technicians.
• Mentor and support the professional development of engineering team members.
• Lead and contribute to electrical design and product development activities.
• Manage technical workloads, priorities and engineering requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers on technical matters.
• Support product testing, validation and qualification activities.
• Ensure engineering processes, procedures and quality standards are maintained.
• Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of engineering processes and capabilities.
