Job summary

Reevr in Havant is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design, develop and support advanced electrical systems for innovative electromechanical products. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance solutions from concept through to commissioning and field support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of three years' experience in an Electrical Design Engineer role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong experience designing AC and DC electrical circuits.
• Ability to produce and interpret detailed electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience using EPLAN and AutoCAD.
• Excellent fault-finding skills and a logical, methodical approach to problem solving.
• Experience with electric motors, switching circuits and motor controllers.
• Ability to manage workload and communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing AC and DC electrical circuits for new and existing products.
• Producing detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts and technical documentation using EPLAN and AutoCAD.
• Ensuring all electrical designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Supporting the commissioning, testing and maintenance of electrical systems, motors and motor control equipment.
• Carrying out fault-finding activities and implementing practical engineering solutions.
• Providing technical support during product development, production and customer installations.
• Preparing technical documentation, user manuals and maintenance information.
• Working closely with Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Project Management and customers to deliver projects on time and to specification.
• Occasionally travelling to customer sites to support commissioning, fault diagnosis and technical investigations.
