Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer for a Defence and Aerospace client in the United Kingdom. The role covers design, development and support of mixed electrical/electronic solutions from concept to completion, following a phase-gate process.

You will define specifications, review supplier capabilities, and develop complete integrated design architectures for electrical hardware, including 28V high-current systems, power electronics and harnesses.

Qualifications

  • EMC awareness at product and circuit level.
  • Formal electrical qualification such as HNC/HND/BEng.
  • Experience of Electrical Hardware Design & Product Development for Harsh Environments.
  • Ability to produce technical documentation to support trade studies, requirements, compliance, and test.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the design, development, and support of mixed electrical/electronic solutions from concept to completion following a detailed phase-gate development process.
  • Define processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacture of the Electrical hardware.
  • Provide technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
  • Facilitate the development of functional and physical design requirements to ensure complete integrated design architecture.
  • Design and development of electrical circuitry (includes; power electronics, harnesses, 28V high current systems).
  • Analysis, test, and evaluation of Electrical circuits and components.
  • Electrical circuit protection analysis.
  • Produce technical documentation to support all activities, from trade studies, requirements documentation, compliance evidence, and test documentation.
  • Strong team player with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of working with lab test equipment, e.g. debug of Electrical circuits.
  • Experience of Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management tools.

You will be involved in:

  • Ability to support and manage aspects of Assembly, Integration, and Test
  • Experience of working with lab test equipment, e.g. debug of Electrical circuits
  • Experience of Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management tools
