Job summary

Raven Search is seeking an Electrical Estimator for a permanent role in Manchester. You will own tenders from enquiry to submission, performing take-offs and detailed cost build-ups across a varied client base and tender routes.

The role sits within a growing pre-construction function backed by a national technical services group. Salary is £55,000–£65,000 depending on experience, with a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Electrical estimating background in an M&E or electrical contracting environment.
• Ability to lead electrical tenders independently from enquiry through to submission.
• Proficient in take-offs and measurement with attention to cost accuracy.
• Experience of framework or negotiated tendering is advantageous.
• Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contract forms.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of electrical tenders from receipt of enquiry through to submission.
• Carrying out take-offs and measurement from drawings and specifications to produce cost build-ups.
• Pricing through competitive tender, framework and negotiated routes across a varied client base.
• Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to produce competitive pricing.
• Identifying value engineering opportunities during the tender process.
• Supporting the pricing of planned and reactive maintenance work alongside capital projects.
• Working closely with work winning, commercial and operational teams to ensure submissions are deliverable.
• Reviewing contract terms and flagging commercial risks ahead of submission.
• Supporting post-tender negotiations and handover to the delivery team on secured projects.
