Job summary

Upfront Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Estimator for a contractor delivering new-build and refurbishment projects. Location: Leeds. Salary: 50,000 - 70,000 per annum. Full-time, Permanent.

You will prepare accurate, competitive tenders for electrical building services projects, from smaller works to larger packages. Responsibilities include reading drawings and specifications, obtaining supplier quotations, and handing successful tenders over to the delivery team.

Qualifications

• Experience pricing electrical building services projects.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications to develop detailed estimates.
• Capability to manage several tender deadlines and maintain pricing records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates, take-offs and cost plans from drawings and specifications.
• Review tender documents and identify project risks.
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Work with design and delivery teams to identify cost savings.
• Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings.
• Manage tender deadlines and maintain clear pricing records.
• Keep labour rates and material prices up to date.
• Hand successful tenders over to the project delivery team.
