Job summary

Upfront Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Estimator for an established Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering new-build and refurbishment projects in the UK. The role focuses on preparing accurate, competitive tenders for electrical building services, from smaller works to larger packages.

You will read drawings and specifications, prepare detailed estimates, and manage multiple tender deadlines, collaborating with commercial and operational teams.

Qualifications

• Experience pricing electrical building services projects.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Ability to manage several tender deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates, take-offs and cost plans from drawings and specifications.
• Review tender documents and identify project risks.
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Work with design and delivery teams to identify cost savings.
• Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings.
• Manage tender deadlines and maintain clear pricing records.
• Keep labour rates and material prices up to date.
• Hand successful tenders over to the project delivery team.
