Job summary

AtkinsRéalis’ Water team is delivering a diverse portfolio of UK water projects, from AMP8 reservoirs to treatment works upgrades. In this role you’ll lead electrical engineers, drive technical excellence, and collaborate across national and international teams to deliver compliant, commercially successful outcomes.

You will mentor engineers, develop client relationships, and contribute to strategic growth while enjoying flexible, hybrid working at our UK hubs or regional offices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Electrical Engineer with UK institution OR extensive industry experience delivering value.
• Experience leading electrical design and delivery of multidisciplinary projects in UK water sector across concept to commissioning.
• Provide technical guidance and act as a key contact within project teams.
• Experience mentoring engineers and fostering high-performing teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to deliver practical, value-driven solutions.
• Commitment to technical excellence, innovation, safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Electrical Engineers.
• Provide technical leadership across regional and national practice.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions and maximise project value.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and support business development.
• Collaborate with UK and international teams for innovative, compliant outcomes.
• Contribute to practice development and knowledge sharing.
